About the Software
eMPATIX builds on more than ten years of experience in Web use on a wide range of platforms. We put great emphasis on Web use as an effective tool, and we make the work process as efficient and easy as possible.
eMPATIX has a number of built-in features:
- Access-key: eMPATIX can be controlled to a great extent from the keyboard. Key combinations that can be applied depend on the version and type of browser used.
- eMPATIX supports tabs (tabbed browsing) allowing one to open as many windows (tabs) as desired and each window can be used individually. Firefox, Explorer and Opera support this function.
- RSS: All changes in eMPATIX can be transmitted as RSS. You decide yourself if a feed must have a user name/password or if it is to be left open. NewzCrawler for Windows is recommended as a preferred RSS reader. Thunderbird and Opera are recommended for Mac and Linux. Egress is recommended for Pocket-PC.
- Favicon: Favicon for bookmarks and RSS feed is supported.
- Standard support: eMPATIX follows open standards and can validate via XHTML and RSS validators.
- Bookmarking: Everything in eMPATIX can be bookmarked. If the program is located on the intranet, you are asked to log in before accessing the bookmarked page.
- Authentification: One is free to choose the method of authentification (how one enters the user name and password) in eMPATIX. Password-protected RSS feeds use .htaccess methods to retrieve user names/passwords.
